Prizes have been distributed to the best 5 farmers of Rangamati hill district under the scheme to increase the production of oil crops in the financial year 2023-24. The prize distribution ceremony was held at Training Hall, Deputy Director's Office, Khamarbari, Rangamati on Thursday 16th May 2024 at 11.00 am organized by Directorate of Agricultural Extension, Khamarbari, Rangamati Hill District.Agriculture Extension Directorate, Khamarbari, Rangamati district training officer agriculturist Apru Marma presided over and distributed prizes to the 5 best farmers as the chief guest.District Seed Certification Officer Agronomist Prasenjit Mistry, Senior Monitoring Officer of Oil Crop Production Enhancement Scheme Agronomist Md. Abu Taher, Regional Agricultural Information Officer Agronomist Md. Ahsan Habib were present as special guests. Agriculture Officer of Sadar Upazila of Agriculture Extension Department, Agriculturist Abu Md. Moniruzzaman and many others were present at the time.The program was conducted by agriculturist Tapu Ahmed, Upazila Agriculture Officer, Nanaiyarachar, Rangamati Hill District. At that time, the best 5 producers of oil crops were nominated and received the award, Halfbazar of Sadar Upazila, Ronel Chakma of Juluchari block, Dwichanpara of Naniarchar Upazila, Satyaban Chakma of Betchari block received the second award and 3 people received the award as the third best farmer.They are Ushatan Chakma of Madhyapara of Sadar Upazila, Maheshwar Chakma of Kuramara and Ratnamoy Khisa of Ramharipara of Naniarchar Upazila.
